Delays dog U.S. government loans to green energy projects

reuters Renewable energy projects in general have been hurt by low natural gas prices and -- government officials fearful of taking a risk on firms that could collapse may have also caused some of the delays. The political firestorm after the failure of Solyndra, a solar panel maker that went bankrupt last year after receiving more than $527 million in a government loan, may have made the authorities wary, industry experts and investors say.

The Energy Department and some companies say the pace of disbursement reflects an appropriately cautious approach to handling taxpayer investment in nascent industries. In some cases, though, the rigid approval process for drawing on loans has frustrated recipients, who feel the government is withholding cash due to minor setbacks. Romney handled this issue rather deftly during last week's debate, actually displaying the guts to confront the President directly on his so-called green energy "investments": "My buddy says you don't just pick winners and losers; you just pick the losers." As Hot Air's Ed Morrisey demonstrates near the end of the video, the President's response to being picked on by the Governor was to pick something else. He never came back and refuted the charge, because their success stories with these loans pale in comparison to their losers.

Lately, it has Not be good for green government loans, give them the money and all they do is go out of business. There's Nothing to show for all that lost taxpayer money that will never be replace except from more government taxes. Caution: Do Not let Fred anywhere that money, the taxpayers money disappears every time with failed solar companies. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!
